Where do we pick up the pontoon?

We drop off the pontoon to you at Sand Point Boat Launch on Prior Lake. There is free parking on the street and a parking lot as well. There are docks down by the launch where we will meet you and welcome you aboard.

Is there a cleaning fee?

Cleaning is included with your rental. However, any wear and tear beyond what is typical will be charged an additional $100 fee. We do also ask that you take your trash with you upon the conclusion of your rental.

Do I need a special license to drive the pontoon?

Accepted Answer

Yes. State law require a valid boat renter's license to rent a pontoon. Proof of license will be required prior to rental date.

Watercraft rental course information:
The rental course is for those 18 years or older who want to rent and/or operate a boat or personal watercraft from a rental business in Minnesota. (This does not include resorts. People who rent from resorts must meet watercraft operator permit age requirements.) Certification through the rental course is valid for 180 days and intended for those who do not already possess a valid watercraft operator’s permit. Non-residents of Minnesota who are using Minnesota waterways for fewer than 60 days and meet the requirements of their home state or country are not required to complete the rental course. After completion of the course students have the option of immediately printing out their Minnesota watercraft rental certificate or retaining a digital copy on their mobile device.

What is your cancellation and weather policy?

OUR CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations made more than 48 hours prior to the scheduled rental start time will receive a full refund, minus a non-refundable $50.00 booking fee. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled rental start time and your credit card on file will be charged the full rental amount. At the Company’s sole discretion, Renters who cancel within the 48-hour window, or who fail to meet the operator permit requirements of Section 7, may be offered the option to reschedule their rental for another available date within 365 days of the original reservation. HOLIDAY RENTALS ARE STRICTLY NON-REFUNDABLE: Reservations made for recognized holidays (including but not limited to Memorial Day, Independence Day/July 4th, Labor Day, and other designated holiday weekends) are not eligible for refunds under any circumstances, regardless of when the cancellation is made. Holiday reservations may not be transferred or rescheduled.

WEATHER POLICY

If rain or a severe weather warning affecting Prior Lake is in effect at the scheduled start of the rental period, the Renter may elect to reschedule the rental for any available date within 365 days of the cancellation. The Company also reserves the right to cancel or postpone a reservation at any time due to weather-related safety concerns, and will allow the Renter to reschedule within 365 days. The Company is not responsible for rental interruptions caused by weather or other circumstances beyond its control once the rental period has commenced. No refunds will be issued for weather-related interruptions or cancellations under any circumstances.

Do you provide life jackets?

Life Jacket Policy: We do have (12) life jackets on board; however, as sizes vary, we recommend bringing your own to ensure a proper fit. State law requires children age 12 and under to wear a life jacket at all times while on the water. Since we are unable to accommodate the wide range of children's sizes, guests with young children under the age of 12 must come prepared with appropriately sized life jackets.

Our pontoons hold 10 people, or 1500 lbs total - whichever comes first.
